I’m not going to lie, I was watching James Bond last night and it gave me the idea for this post haha But, it made me realize that when I am on my game when traveling and have everything worked out, I’m feeling comfortable and lookin good plus I’m successfully putting all my gadgets and insights to use, I’m feelin like a badass…which basically translates to feeling like a Bond girl ;P
So, I put together this list of things I have come across that are most likely to make me feel this way.
Enjoy!
Pashmina / Large Scarf

A big scarf is always my best friend when traveling, especially on the plane. It’s a scarf, it’s a blanket, it keeps me feeling comfortable and secure, heck it could even be used to shimmy out a window or tie someone up if the situation gets 007 status and you need some creative backup!
A Sweet Pair of Shades

A sweet pair of shades like one of these Dolce and Gabbana options always make me feel fabulous .. and fast. Not only will you be lookin fierce but, with a dark enough tint, no one will be able to see you keeping an eye on them.
Lipstick Vibrator

Keeping one of these in your bag is great because it is a sleek and subtle way to have some fun where ever you are, even if you don’t have Mr. Bond around ;P
Sephora Face Masks

$6.00
I love these because they are a fast and easy way to keep yourself feeling fresh and beautiful. This is especially great after getting off a 10 hour flight that you didn’t really sleep on or on your 4th week or straight travel when all your late nights and endless activities are catching up with you! Comes in so many varieties too, including avocado for nourishment, green tea for anti-blemish, pearl for perfecting and brightening, pomegranate for anti-fatigue and energizing and many more!
Book Safe

$23.99
When you are up to big things, you have some important things to protect! That is why I always make sure my most important things – like cash and passport etc – are cleverly hidden from prying eyes. Something like this is perfect because it is a common item that most would overlook.
Neck Wallet

This is why I also always carry a neck wallet when I am out and about. I always choose one that is RFID protected, so high tech crooks cant scan and steal your credit information right out of your pocket! I also wear this across my body underneath my jacket or shirt so I always have peace of mind no one could possibly reach it an pick pocket me on the train or in busy crowds. (I would recommend getting one without velcro though, I found out the hard way it is loud and can catch on clothes which tends to ruin them)
Touch Screen Gloves

$15.99
This is a necessity for travel somewhere cold. Not only does it keep you looking stylish but keeps your fingers warm while you check up on the most recent international intelligence coming your way!
BB Cream

$7.00 at Target
This is another great beauty supply that will help keep you looking fresh and improve your skin at the same time. This really is a multi-tasker with 8 different benefits including SPF 30 which will always keep your skin protected from harsh UV rays. It feels like and comfortable on, this and mascara is usually all I need and keeps this quick and easy!
Small Multi-Tool -Swiss army knife

The Huntsman II on Amazon for $38
A diverse trip requires an effective tool that can handle anything. For all of the little things that come up as you are maneuvering in the world can be vastly simplified if you have one of these babies in hand. (Be aware that for travel including flight, a device like this will probably have to be checked and cannot be carried on)
Keychain Mace

$8.00 on Amazon
This is another great tool for keeping you safe from all those would be Bond villains, and otherwise, out there. Handy and effective, you can disable an assailant from a distance and get the hell out of there! (Be aware this type of product is not allowed on flights in checked bags, but are cheap enough you could pick one up in your new destination. Also good for just everyday protection)
First Aid Kit – Small scissors, tweezers, band aids (w neosporin), tylenol, splint wrap,
I GO First Aid Kit For Survival and Emergencies (85 Pieces) Light, Waterproof, Compact, and Comprehensive

$13.00 on Amazon
If something does go wrong, a pack like this comes in really handy. Even when you are a badass, things can come up that require attention. Things often get better a lot faster when you treat it properly. Even if you don’t get into trouble, it might be that a less careful partner of yours does :p
TSA Pre-Check

Costs about $80 and is good for 5 years
Not much makes you feel more like a badass then skipping the huge line at the airport and keeping your shoes on while you do it! The process to get signed up is easy and painless, and lasts for a long time. There are two versions, one that is for within the country and one that is for global entry. I chose the local over the global because, ultimately, the global option only supports your in entering or exiting the country and not anywhere outside of it. Some international airlines wont even support its use at all. The local option is far most useful.
Wherever you go, go with all your heart.
