So, What Are You Going To Need?

In order to achieve this delicate balance of reality and fantasy in ones life, there is little chance you can get by without any work at all. However, the smarter you work, the less of it you have to do!

In order to achieve the exact type of situation I have for creating my own independent version of studying abroad, there a few more specific requirements that are necessary.

Ultimately this includes:

  1. Attend and online university

  2. I am a student at Saybrook University which is a graduate school that specializes in humanistic psychology, and I love it!

  3. As technology continues to develop, many additional universities now have legitimate online manifestations that allow for the freedom and flexibility of creating your own schedule.

  4. Have mad organization and planning skills

  5. Less imposed structure means more personal work to construct these supports around your work

  6. However, this also means that you have the freedom to create this schedule exactly as you want

  7. Also have mad focus and motivation

  8. In order to stay on track, especially amongst the new and exciting events of travel, it is important to be motivated and working on something you have a passion for

  9. Be curious and willing to have your worldview challenged

  10. I have been practicing Buddhism for a few years now, and this paired with taking the course Being a Leader, I felt prepared to engage with the world

  11. Have an Effective Note Keeping System

  12. I prefer to use Evernote because it is the most similar in organization to a regular notebook except there is the added ability of searching within text and always having your notes accessible through your phone!

  13. Ultimately, this is important for quick access to important information and space to store information gathered from research done regarding the trip A note keeping system

  14. Credit Cards – and a good credit history

  15. Required for online purchases

  16. Provides the benefit of earning rewards (given the right credit card) that will continue to fund future travel as well as provide greater theft protection when traveling

  17. This also allows a certain supplement to the money you can spend while traveling, just remember it is often not good to max out your cards as this affects ones credit score

  18. Some money saved up

  19. The amount varies based on the type of trip and level of luxury you want to experience

  20. I usually have about $1500 saved and available to spend, but I also usually splurge on things here and there and have a balance between some very cheap things and other more expensive things
